Islamabad, Aug 1, 2025: In a major move following fluctuations in the international oil market, the Government of Pakistan has announced revised petroleum prices for the upcoming fortnight. According to a press release issued by the Finance Division, the new rates will be effective from August 1, 2025.

The price of MS (Petrol) has been reduced by Rs7.54 per liter, offering significant relief to the public and transport sector. The new petrol price stands at Rs264.61 per liter, down from the previous rate of Rs272.15.

On the other hand, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs1.48 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs285.83 per liter, compared to the earlier price of Rs284.35.

This adjustment comes after recommendations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and relevant ministries, considering the latest global price trends.
