Islamabad, Aug 1, 2025: The Punjab administration has begun groundwork on a Green Corridor initiative alongside the railway line stretching from Shahdara to Raiwind, with plans to transform the entire route into lush green zones. This Green Corridor project is set to span 40 kilometers of railway and utilize roughly 700 kanals of land.

With a projected budget of Rs. 2.35 billion, the scheme is scheduled for completion within a year.
