Islamabad 4 August:The spillway gates of Rawal Dam are scheduled to be opened at 6:00 AM today after the water level surged to 1,750.70 feet, crossing the critical threshold, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) announced.
An NDMA spokesperson confirmed that all concerned departments have been put on high alert, and preemptive warnings have been issued to the public due to expected high water flow in the Korang Nullah.

Authorities have urged residents near the nullah and surrounding low-lying areas to remain cautious and avoid crossing the water channel or using temporary bridges during peak flow.
