Islamabad, Aug 4, 2025: An all-round effort made it possible for Pakistan to clinch a 13-run victory over West Indies in the third and final T20I at Central Broward Regional Park on Monday, securing the Pakistan vs West Indies series 2-1.
Chasing a stiff target of 190, the West Indies got off to a flying start, collecting 16 runs in the very first over bowled by Hasan Ali. Openers Jewel Andrew and Alick Athanaze set the tone with a brisk 44-run partnership. However, Haris Rauf broke the stand by dismissing Andrew for a rapid 24 off 15 deliveries in the fifth over.
Athanaze continued to take on the bowlers and notched up his maiden T20I fifty in just 31 balls. He added 30 runs with skipper Shai Hope (7) and later built another useful 36-run stand with Sherfane Rutherford.

With West Indies comfortably placed at 110-2 in the 13th over, Saim Ayub turned the tide in Pakistan’s favor by getting rid of Athanaze, who scored a well-crafted 60 from 40 balls.
Rutherford and Roston Chase added 39 more to keep the chase alive. However, things fell apart quickly as Chase was bowled out, and Sufiyan Muqeem dismissed Jason Holder for a first-ball duck, leaving the hosts stumbling at 149-5.
Although Rutherford scored some late runs, bringing up 51 off 35, his dismissal with 26 required off the final seven balls put an end to the hopes. West Indies eventually closed at 176-6.
The Pakistan bowling was a shared effort with Hasan Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub and Sufiyan Muqeem all claiming a wicket apiece.
