Islamabad, Aug 4, 2025: The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) is set to restart sending skilled labor to Kuwait, according to official sources, after the Gulf nation removed its 19-year-old Kuwait visa restriction on Pakistan earlier this year.

In May, Kuwait ended the visa ban, which had halted employment, business, family, and tourist visas for Pakistanis. This ban was originally imposed on citizens of Pakistan, Iran, Syria, and Afghanistan due to regional security challenges at the time.

A large number of Pakistanis travel abroad annually to find employment in the Middle East, Europe, the US, and other parts of the world. Their earnings, sent back home as remittances, are vital for Pakistan’s economy, especially during ongoing financial instability.

The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), operating under the OP&HRD Ministry, has announced that skilled professionals will now be recruited again for jobs in Kuwait.

The Kuwait visa revival has opened doors for positions such as warehouse supervisor, with a maximum age of 35. Candidates must hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree, be fluent in English, and have prior experience in logistics or warehouse operations.

Additional vacancies include roles like warehouseman, coordinator, carpenter, driver, and assistant furniture workers. Applicants must submit their documents by August 15, 2025.

Diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Kuwait were first established in October 1963 and continue to grow across different sectors.
