Islamabad, Aug 4, 2025: Pakistan’s electric car industry is becoming more dynamic with the arrival of the Omoda E5, launched alongside the newly introduced Jaecoo J7.

This electric SUV enters the local market through a partnership between Chery and NextGen Auto, a subsidiary of the Nishat Group, which already assembles Hyundai vehicles in Pakistan.

Dimensions and Exterior Design

The Omoda E5 has a sleek and urban-friendly profile, measuring 4,424 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,588 mm in height, with a 2,630 mm wheelbase. It boasts a full LED lighting package, including LED headlamps, taillights, fog lamps, and animated rear indicators.

Stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, dual spoilers, and rain-sensing wipers enhance its modern appeal. The addition of heated, power-folding side mirrors, puddle lamps, and a sunroof with a retractable shade offers a premium touch.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the Omoda E5 delivers a tech-forward experience with twin 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. A Sony 8-speaker setup supports Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

The front seats are both power-adjustable — six-way for the driver and four-way for the passenger — and come with ventilation. Rear passengers benefit from AC vents, USB-A and USB-C ports, and multicolor ambient lighting. Practicality is enhanced by split-fold rear seats and center armrests in both rows.

Performance and Battery Range

The SUV is powered by a 150 kW permanent magnet motor, delivering 204 hp and 340 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a single-speed transmission. Drivers can choose between Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes. Its 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery offers up to 430 km (WLTP) or 505 km (NEDC) per charge. The charging port is integrated into the front grille for convenience.

Safety and Security

Key safety features include six airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, multi-collision brake, ISOFIX mounts, and a 360-degree camera system. It also includes parking sensors, child locks, seatbelt reminders, and passive entry with auto-lock.

Price and Booking Details

The Omoda E5 is priced at Rs. 8,990,000. Reservations can be made with a booking amount of Rs. 1,700,000. Deliveries are expected within 2.5 months.
