Islamabad, Aug 6, 2025: In a major relief for families, NADRA Succession Certificate services have now been made easier and more accessible throughout the country. The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has simplified the procedure, allowing legal heirs to apply for succession certificates from anywhere in Pakistan—regardless of where the inherited property is located.
Under the new notification, citizens can visit any of the 186 Succession Facilitation Units (SFUs) set up at NADRA offices across Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan. This move removes the old limitation that forced heirs to apply in the province where the property was situated—often causing delays and added expenses.
What makes the process even more convenient is the upgraded biometric verification system. Applicants can verify their identity either at the nearest NADRA center or from their home through the Pak ID Mobile App, streamlining the entire experience.
A NADRA official confirmed that all centers with SFUs have been notified and are fully equipped to process applications, making it easier for families to settle inheritance matters without unnecessary travel.
This change not only saves time and money but also ensures a more citizen-friendly approach in dealing with legal documentation. The newly introduced flexibility reflects NADRA’s commitment to improving public services through digital transformation.
