Islamabad, Aug 6, 2025: The Sindh government has officially extended the deadline for security-featured number plates for all vehicles across the province. The new deadline is now October 31, 2025, giving vehicle owners more time to comply with the updated safety requirements. The previous cutoff was August 14, 2025.
The decision came after a high-level meeting between PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla. During the meeting, the minister briefed the chairman about the performance of party members and the status of vehicle registration reforms, including the rollout of the new plates.
Bilawal Bhutto emphasized the need to facilitate the public and avoid unnecessary pressure on citizens. Acting on his direction, the Excise Department officially announced the extension of the Sindh security number plates deadline.
These new number plates are equipped with modern security features, aimed at improving vehicle tracking, verification, and crime prevention. The plates are part of a broader effort to digitize and secure vehicle records across Sindh.
