Islamabad, Aug 9, 2025: Applications are now open for HEC US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Scholarships 2025 for Fall 2025, Spring/Summer 2026, and Fall 2026 admissions. Under this initiative, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) invites talented Pakistani and AJK nationals to apply for fully funded PhD studies in the top 300 QS World Ranked US universities.
This program aims to strengthen Pakistan’s research capacity by providing scholars access to world-class education.
These scholarships are strictly for PhD programs only and do not cover MS leading to PhD. Priority will be given to candidates enrolled in preferred academic disciplines as listed on the official HEC website: www.hec.gov.pk/site/US-PAK-KCSA. Applications must be submitted online via the HEC Scholarship Portal at scholarships.hec.gov.pk.
General Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Pakistani or AJK citizen
- Minimum of 16 years of education (BS/BSc/BE or equivalent)
- No second or third division throughout academic career for Category-I & II scholarships
Age Limit (Closing Date Basis)
- Up to 40 years for regular government employees, faculty of public universities/colleges, or researchers in approved R&D institutions
- Up to 35 years for all other applicants
- Candidates must not be availing any other scholarship
Category-I Scholarship (Top 50 QS Ranked US Universities)
Benefits include:
- Tuition fee coverage as per university invoice
- Monthly stipend and health insurance
Additional requirements:
- Admission in a top 50 QS World Ranked US university (overall or subject ranking)
- GRE-General score of at least 300 or HEC HAT score of at least 60%
Important Notes
- Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection; only top-performing candidates will be awarded.
- Preference for admission in top 100 QS ranked US universities or programs ranked up to 100 in subject ranking.
- Latest QS 2025 rankings will be considered, with topuniversities.com as the reference.
