Islamabad, Aug 9, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a significant Rs. 100 billion interest-free loan scheme to support wheat farmers across the province. This major agricultural financing initiative aims to boost wheat production and reduce the financial challenges faced by growers.
In a key meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of lowering the cost of farming inputs before the wheat planting season. She directed authorities to ensure a steady supply of fertilizers and to provide focused subsidies especially for small-scale wheat cultivators.

The approved plan will release Rs. 100 billion in interest-free loans to farmers before the sowing begins, giving them much-needed financial relief.
