Islamabad 10 August: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that over 58,000 applications have been submitted by prospective pilgrims for Hajj 2026. The figure reflects early but significant interest in fulfilling the sacred journey.

Pakistan’s Hajj quota for 2026 is set at 179,210 pilgrims, with 129,210 places reserved under the government scheme and the remainder allocated to private tour operators.

Under the government’s recently approved Hajj Policy 2026, 70 percent of the quota is assigned to the official scheme, while the private sector retains 30 percent. Key features of the policy include full digitization of Hajj operations, real-time tracking, third-party oversight, and enhanced facilitation measures for pilgrims.
