Islamabad, August 13, 2025 — The District Magistrate of Islamabad Capital Territory has officially announced the closure of several major public parks and monuments in the federal capital for one day. According to the notification issued on August 12, 2025, Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh, Pakistan Monument, and Shakarparian will remain closed to the general public on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
The closure is intended to facilitate administrative or security arrangements in these prominent public areas, though the notification did not specify the exact reasons.

The District Magistrate, Irfan Nawaz Memon, PAS, directed relevant departments and officials including the Chief Commissioner Office, Inspector General of Police, Chairman CDA, Ministry of Interior, PEMRA, Capital Development Authority, police departments, and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad to ensure compliance with the order and take necessary actions.

The authorities have also requested the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to publish this notification widely in all daily newspapers and have asked PEMRA to broadcast it across news channels for public awareness.
Residents and visitors planning to visit these recreational and tourist sites on August 13 are advised to make alternative plans as access to these locations will be restricted for the day.
