Islamabad 13 August: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday cautioned India that any attempt to block Pakistan’s water in violation of the Indus Waters Treaty would be met with a firm and unforgettable response.

“You threaten to stop our water. If you attempt such a move, Pakistan will teach you a lesson you will never forget,” he declared while addressing an event marking International Youth Day in Islamabad.

Calling water the country’s lifeline, the premier vowed there would be no compromise on Pakistan’s rights under international agreements. He also lauded the armed forces for downing six Indian fighter jets on May 10, describing it as a historic moment that humbled India’s pride.

Highlighting youth empowerment, PM Shehbaz announced the distribution of 100,000 interest-free laptops to students on merit, reaffirming his government’s commitment to transparency in the process. He stressed that the nation’s future rests in the hands of the youth, with a focus on education and technology.
