Islamabad, Aug 14, 2025: On August 14, the 13th CPL 2025 edition starts in Basseterre with St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and Antigua & Barbuda falcons. This is a six-team tournament, which takes place in the Caribbean until September 21 in six countries; there will be 34 games. The league will consist of the top four teams which will play off in Guyana at Providence Stadium.
Dwayne Bravo is a new coach of Trinbago Knight Riders because Phil Simmons left this position. His brother Darren Bravo comes back after a two year hiatus, and his hope is to bring back the TKR legacy. Experience and star power in the tournament is presented by other veteran players such as Kieron Pollard, Moeen Ali, Colin Munro and Alex Hales.
A number of teams have secured the services of new captains such as Imad Wasim (Falcons), David Wiese (St Lucia Kings) and Jason Holder (Patriots). The defending champions St Lucia Kings want to repeat their championship performance, and TKR and Amazon Warriors may be real opponents.

New prospect such as Jediah Blades and Kofi James can leave a mark this season as well. Every club is required to incorporate one breakout footballer in their White team and no more than five global superstars are permitted to accompany them.
