Islamabad, Aug 14, 2025: Imam-ul-Haq, Pakistan test cricketer, and leading left hander, tweeted a cryptic message after scoring back-to-back centuries during his stint at Yorkshire in the One Day Cup of 2025. The veteran opener, who did not play in the Pakistani ODI series against the West Indies, has been in the top order since joining Yorkshire, after Indian Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Imam has scored 331 runs on an unbelievable average of 110 in three innings. To start his campaign he posted a solid half-century in Yorkshire win over Warwickshire, followed by successive match-winning tons against Northamptonshire and Lancashire. His form and style have evoked his supremacy even in Group B.

After scoring the century against Lancashire, Imam posted a reflective post on X, once Twitter: “Chase too hard, and it slips away. Relax, focus, and let it come to you.” His cool nature is another reason why he has been such a consistent figure at the crease and has led Yorkshire to three straight victories and place atop Group B with 12 points and a +2.219 net run rate.

Having played 75 one-day internationals for Pakistan, Imam-ul-Haq has made 3,152 runs at an average of 47.04 with nine centuries and 20 half-centuries. He will no doubt carry on his prolific run against Somerset on August 14 at the York Cricket Club dashing him much deeper into his status as one of the great hit batsmen in Pakistan.
