Islamabad, Aug 14, 2025: On the occasion of Independence Day, Pakistani model and activist Nadia Hussain spoke up about the suffering of the Palestinians. She took to Instagram to share photos and said this year her celebrations are different because of the humanitarian crisis getting bigger. She added that she has mixed feelings of celebrating our freedom when there are millions of defenceless Palestinians fighting to be liberated.
She condemned greed on a global scale by saying, the rich are becoming richer and the poor are getting poorer. Discussing the case of Pakistan, Nadia observed the fact that locally, the same power and corruption trends are observed. She said, “The leaders just forget about justice and they act only because of ambition and personal interest.”
It may be said that she felt like a prisoner of a net of “deception and might” as she was happy to be a citizen in a free country but she and all should work together to defend truth and justice. Since 2021, Nadia Hussain has participated in Palestinian demonstrations, and has been in support of the Palestinian causes. She has in the past called boycotts of Israeli goods and was careful to put clear the differences between Israel as a state and Judaism as a religion.

Her campaign remains resolute since the war snowballs as there have been more than 61,000 Israeli military casualties since October 2023 with 54 this past day. At the end of her message, Nadia prayed to the people that humanity should fight to defend justice and freedom to poor people.
On Independence Day, her voice raises the importance of the day when her audience should remember that with the celebration of liberty goes the responsibility to contend to the human rights in the world.
