Islamabad, Aug 15, 2025: Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) has confirmed a scheduled 15-day shutdown for regeneration, beginning on August 17, 2025. This planned pause is aimed at ensuring the refinery’s smooth and efficient operation in the long run.
According to an official notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on August 15, 2025, PRL will temporarily halt operations to perform critical regeneration and maintenance work. The company emphasized that this step is essential to maintain optimal production quality and meet safety standards.
Established in May 1960 as a public limited company, Pakistan Refinery shutdown specializes in refining and distributing petroleum products across the country. Operating as a subsidiary of Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO), the refinery plays a crucial role in fulfilling Pakistan’s energy demands by supplying high-quality fuel to the domestic market.
