Islamabad, Aug 15, 2025: The Marka-e-Haq Monument along with a dedicated park and museum will soon be established by the Punjab government to honor the “Battle of Truth,” Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced at a special ceremony at the Expo Centre on Thursday.

The project is envisioned as a permanent tribute to courage, national resilience, and the sacrifices made to protect the country’s sovereignty.

The event featured stirring performances of national songs by Sahir Ali Bagga and other renowned artists, as well as the screening of a musical film on the Battle of Truth. Guests were also shown a detailed documentary outlining the design and vision for the upcoming monument, park, and museum.

Dignitaries in attendance included provincial ministers, diplomats from allied countries, and senior military and civil officials. Maryam Nawaz personally interacted with the musicians, praising their artistic contributions to the nation’s cultural heritage.

Earlier, in her Independence Day message, the chief minister stressed the need to pass on stories of the freedom struggle to the next generation and safeguard national independence. Once completed, the Marka-e-Haq Monument, park, and museum are expected to emerge as prominent cultural and educational destinations in Punjab.
