Islamabad, Aug 15, 2025: Bad weather at Gilgit Airport caused the cancellation of all scheduled flights today, while air travel across Pakistan faced widespread disruptions. The situation not only grounded flights in Gilgit but also delayed several domestic and international routes nationwide.

According to the day’s flight schedule, four Islamabad-to-Gilgit flights were canceled. In addition, 46 flights across the country encountered delays due to various operational and weather-related factors.

Among the delayed flights, 11 originated from Islamabad, 12 from Karachi, 11 from Lahore, three from Quetta, and one each from Multan, Skardu, and Peshawar.

International services were also affected. A private carrier’s Islamabad-to-Dubai flight was delayed by five hours. Similarly, two private flights from Lahore to Riyadh and Abu Dhabi were held up between four and ten hours. Meanwhile, a foreign airline’s Muscat-to-Karachi service was delayed by four and a half hours.
