The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that the deadline for submitting applications under the Pakistan Hajj 2026 government scheme has been extended by one more day. According to officials, applicants will now be able to submit forms through designated banks until Monday, August 18, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt revealed that over 110,000 people have already applied during the past 12 days, while around 7,000 seats under the official quota are still available. However, he clarified that the online Hajj portal will close permanently at midnight on August 16 and will not reopen. Applications will only be entertained through banks until the new deadline.
He also noted that once the remaining quota is filled, no further applications will be accepted. This year, the Pakistan Hajj 2026 scheme offers two categories: a longer stay of 38–42 days and a shorter package of 20–25 days. The cost is set between Rs1.15 million and Rs1.25 million, with an initial deposit of Rs500,000 or Rs550,000 required upfront. The balance payment will be collected starting November 1.
The ministry confirmed that overseas Pakistanis holding valid passports are also eligible to apply. Out of Pakistan’s total Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims, 70% is allocated for the government scheme and the remaining 30% for private operators. Of this, 119,210 seats are reserved under the official scheme, while 60,000 are expected to go to private tour groups—pending final confirmation from Saudi authorities.

With thousands of seats still available, the extension gives applicants one last chance to secure their spot for Pakistan Hajj 2026 before registrations officially close.
