On Saturday, Chief Minister of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur had assured to compensate flood victims after devastating cloudbursts and flash floods hit 7 districts of the region. He promised to employ every resource he has to minimize the pain of the affected families.

According to the chief minister, sudden cloudburst in Bajaur and Buner yielded to heavy flooding, destruction, and loss of human lives despite previous warning of rain and flood. He highlighted the fact that the provincial arrangement is directly involved in administering relief to the citizens in areas stricken with distress.

The house is to provide necessary aid to the flood victims. After concluding immediate relief operations, we will assess the level of damages and initiate rehabilitation and reconstruction,”said Gandapur. He has also mourned the Bajaur helicopter crash that took place in the process of delivering aid.

Gandapur observed that he is personally overseeing relief activities whereas the chief secretary and the district administrations were making sure that they offered prompt support. He reaffirmed the govt will cover all the losses incurred by flood victims and be with them during such a difficult period.
