ISLAMABAD (August 19, 2025): PTCL Internet Outage Disrupts Internet users in Islamabad faced disruptions on Tuesday as Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) services were reported down in several areas of the capital.

Complaints about the outage began surfacing around 4:30 PM, with users on social media reporting difficulties in accessing the internet. Some also raised concerns over connectivity issues on mobile networks including Zong and Jazz.

Real-time outage tracker Downdetector, however, did not record a major nationwide outage. The platform showed normal traffic levels, suggesting the problem was localized rather than countrywide.

PTCL has not issued any official statement regarding the disruption. In the past, internet services have been affected by submarine cable faults and fiber cuts, often caused by technical glitches or adverse weather conditions.
