The Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education have released the results of Matric Part-I examinations with Dera Ghazi Khan Board securing the highest pass percentage at 57.34%.

According to the sources, Faisalabad Board came second with 51.55%, while Gujranwala stood at 49.37%. The pass rate for Lahore was 45.08% whereas Sargodha and Sahiwal recorded 46.37% and 46.08% respectively.

In South Punjab, Bahawalpur Board showed 43.08% while Rawalpindi reported 42.60% which is the lowest among the major boards. The passing percentage for Multan Board is still pending.

Overall, the results show that most boards remained below the 50 percent mark which raise concerns about student performance in several districts. Education observers believe more focus is needed on teaching quality, classroom learning and exam preparation to improve future outcomes.
