In a major step to modernize public transport, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially introduced the CDA Mobile App which allows commuters in Islamabad to track metro and electric buses in real time through Google Maps.
With this app, users can now check live bus locations, view routes and nearby stops and plan their travel more efficiently. The app is aimed at reducing waiting times, improving commuter convenience and encouraging the use of eco-friendly public transport.
The CDA Mobile App is available for free download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It is fully integrated with Google Maps for accurate route and timing information.

This development follows the direction of CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, who earlier instructed the launch of the mobile app to improve the feeder bus system. He also called for introducing travel cards, planning routes through key areas like marakiz, hospitals and universities and offering travel subsidies for senior citizens and low-income passengers.
The initiative reflects CDA’s commitment to creating a smart, affordable, and commuter-friendly transport network in the capital.
