Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Islamabad Business Facilitation Center (BFC) today, a one-stop facility designed to make business processes easier and provide direct support to investors and entrepreneurs.

During his visit, the Prime Minister was briefed on the working of the center, which aims to cut delays, simplify procedures and serve as a central hub for businesses. He praised the modern building and its highly qualified staff, expressing confidence that the young talent hired for the project will help ensure its success.

Shehbaz Sharif directed officials to provide world-class services at the Business Facilitation Center, stressing that investors and entrepreneurs must receive timely and genuine assistance. He added that if the model works effectively, similar centers will be established in other parts of the country.

According to the sources, the Islamabad center will handle 341 Regulatory Licensing and Compliance Obligations (RLCOs) linked with 22 ministries and 41 departments. Each department will place its own experts at the facility to deliver services directly.

The Business Facilitation Center is expected to:

  • Act as a single-window platform for entrepreneurs
  • Improve inter-agency coordination for faster approvals
  • Reduce delays and improve transparency
  • Build greater trust between businesses and government agencies
