Lahore, August 21, 2025 – The Punjab Education Department has directed the preparation of lists of schools and teachers showing poor performance in 9th and 10th-grade examinations. Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, in a statement issued on Thursday, said that for the first time, the School Education Department is compiling detailed reports of schools and teachers with unsatisfactory results. Teachers consistently delivering poor outcomes will face dismissal.

The minister emphasized that despite the allocation of billions of rupees, poor academic performance will not be tolerated.
“I will hold the schools of my district and tehsil accountable. Alongside action against underperforming teachers, a list of teachers delivering good results is also being prepared. Teachers showing excellent performance will be rewarded accordingly,” he added.
