The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the result of the CSS 2025 written exam and it has been revealed that the number of those who passed is shamefully low (only 2.77 percent). Out of 18,139 who applied, 12,792 candidates actually sat in the competitive test and only 354 successfully cleared the test.
This is a slight improvement as compared to the CSS 2024 written exam that had a pass percentage of 2.53%. In 2011 23,100 had sat for application, of which 15,602 sat the written examination but only 395 passed. These stats demonstrate how competitive, and gruesome the tests of Pakistan elite civil services are.
CSS 2025 written exam remains a challenge to the candidates due its challenging syllabus and high standards of evaluation. To succeed in this noble profession, hopeful civil servants need to be well prepared and strategize in studying to achieve this target.
