Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has given approval to the Sindh Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill 2025, bringing it into effect immediately under Article 116 of the Constitution. The new law introduces tougher conditions for issuing driving license and sets stricter penalties for traffic violations.
According to the bill, the changes aim to improve road safety and ensure that citizens follow traffic regulations. Any breach of the Motor Vehicles Act will now result in strict legal action, signaling a strong stance by the provincial government.
The amendment also makes pre-license training courses compulsory for applicants of both Light Transport Vehicle (LTV) and Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) licenses.
