WhatsApp is testing a new missed call voicemail-like feature, making it easier for users to leave voice messages when someone doesn’t answer. According to WABetaInfo, this feature has been spotted in the beta version 2.25.23.21 of WhatsApp for Android.
With this feature, if a WhatsApp voice call goes unanswered, the app will show a “Record voice message” shortcut on the call screen alongside “Call again” and “Cancel” buttons. Users can also find the same option directly in the chat with the person they tried to call.

These shortcuts let users quickly send a voice note without having to navigate through the chat manually. While it is still possible to record a voice message using the paperclip icon in chat, these new options aim to make leaving messages faster and more convenient.
