The Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) has announced plans to build a new airport in Faisalabad, inviting companies to submit offers for its design, master plan, and feasibility study. Applications have been called till October 12 and must be submitted to the Planning Directorate.

According to official details shared on Saturday, the process aims to finalize a comprehensive master plan and feasibility report before construction begins. The authority has directed all interested firms to submit their applications by the deadline.

Earlier this month following the Prime Minister instructions, steps were taken to upgrade Pakistan immigration system. At Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport, new immigration counters have been set up to assist foreign passengers, reduce clearance delays and create a smoother travel experience.

An FIA spokesperson stated that the move will help foreign investors, business groups and tourists. The initiative is also designed to boost trade and foreign investment while making the process easier for overseas Pakistanis returning home.
