Lahore’s Safari Zoo is set for a significant transformation as the Punjab government moves forward with the second phase of its Master Plan. In a meeting led by Secretary of Planning and Development Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali, officials shared detailed plans to turn the zoo into a modern destination for families.

The proposals include a theme park, a specially designed Hippo House and an interactive wildlife center where visitors can get closer to animals. Plans also feature a crocodile pond, a modernized aquarium and a walk-through aviary. Additional adventure activities are being added to make visits more exciting for children and families.

“Punjab Govt is taking bold steps to boost the wildlife sector with world-class facilities,” said Rafaqat Ali.

The upgraded aquarium and immersive wildlife center will serve as educational spaces while adventure-based attractions are expected to draw more visitors and support local tourism. Officials believe these improvements will enhance animal care and give families more reasons to explore the zoo.

Safari Zoo makeover is part of the government wider vision of modernizing recreational areas across Punjab. With Phase II underway, residents and tourists can expect a unique combination of learning, conservation and fun in the near future.
