The Prime Minister IT Internship Program has been launched by the Ministry of IT and Telecom (MoITT) in partnership with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). The initiative which is under the Prime Minister Youth Program is aimed at supporting IT graduates through practical industry exposure.
This is a six-month paid internship designed for final-year IT students and recent graduates. Selected participants will work with top IT companies in Pakistan while receiving a monthly stipend of PKR 30,000.

According to MoITT, the program is focused on closing the gap between classroom learning and professional industry needs. By gaining real-world training, young professionals will improve their skills and increase their chances of employability.

Officials highlighted that this step aligns with the government goal of strengthening Pakistan IT sector, encouraging innovation and preparing a competitive workforce for the digital economy.

Experts believe the program will not only benefit students but also help IT companies access fresh talent. It is expected to strengthen the overall IT ecosystem and create opportunities for youth in Pakistan’s fast-growing technology sector.
