Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are working to strengthen travel ties as the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) organised a joint roadshow in Karachi to showcase the Kingdom tourism under Vision 2030. The event highlighted Saudi Arabia potential as a global travel destination and offered Pakistani travellers new opportunities for leisure and business trips.
The roadshow attracted travel and aviation professionals, corporate representatives and media. Under Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia aims to go beyond religious tourism and wants to promote leisure, cultural, adventure and business experiences. The Kingdom has launched major projects like Neom, opened resorts along the Red Sea and encouraged destination weddings and corporate events.
Sofia Al-Khawar, STA country manager said, “Saudi Arabia is one of the top destinations for Pakistanis. Beyond religious travel, there are many options for leisure, vacations and business events.” She added that a special Saudi delegation will visit Pakistan next week, offering one-week discount packages for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) groups.
Muhammad Rafiq Khan, chairman of Bukhari Group of Companies, co-hosting the roadshow highlighted the growing interest of Pakistanis in exploring Saudi Arabia beyond Hajj and Umrah. “There are many historic sites and attractions that people are now enjoying for leisure travel,” he said.

Others noted the new opportunities for Pakistani families, mentioning Jeddah amusement parks, children play areas and shopping destinations while praising Saudi Arabia rapid transformation especially Neom City and Taif, calling them world-class tourism attractions.
The roadshow ended with networking sessions and presentations aiming to boost Pakistan-Saudi tourism links and increase the number of travelers between the two countries.
