Sialkot Airport has been submerged due to severe flooding, forcing authorities to halt air traffic operations until 10 PM on August 31. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) confirmed that teams are actively working to pump out the water, with airport staff operating round-the-clock to resume normal airline services as quickly as possible.
The authorities have also issued a formal NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) to inform the airlines and pilots regarding the momentary suspension of the flights, so the safety measures are not down the priority list. The travelers are encouraged to monitor the airline news and make arrangements since the recovery work still goes on.
Airport management has installed advanced gear that has made water drainage effective and at the same time oversee the conditions of runways to ensure the safety of passengers. PIA as well as other airlines are liaising well with local government authorities to reduce the inconvenience of both passengers and cargo.

As soon as the floodwaters are pumped out, normal operations will be restored so that all air traffic activities can be recovered, and connectivity recovered among the domestic and international travelers. Customers are advised to verify flight details and verify bookings since Sialkot Airport is striving hard to overcome the flood hitches.
