Premier League champions Liverpool still lead the headlines, on and off the field, with the incredible signing of their long-term target Alexander Isak on a British record PS130 million deal with Newcastle United.
The Swedish forward is sold at the highest price in the history of UK football, more expensive than the PS116m paid by Liverpool this summer on Florian Wirtz. Before signing a six-year contract at Anfield, Isaac is due to pass through medical tests, a decision that proves that the club is willing to retain dominance.
Isak, 25, comes on the heels of an excellent season with Newcastle, in which he scored 23 goals in the Premier League, and proved himself one of the most efficient goal scorers in the continent. His resignation was long-awaited, after social media commentaries on promises being broken, and the urgent concern over Profit and Sustainability Regulations in Newcastle. The Magpies have already spent a lot of money on striker Nick Woltemade, cushioning the impact of the loss of their star.

To the champions, the coming of Isak is the highlight of a big transfer window. In addition to Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, the introduction of Isak adds speed, physical prowess and an established goal-scoring record to an already quality squad. Liverpool have started off with three consecutive wins, and the club is setting itself up to dominate domestically and also win in Europe.
Liverpool announced the arrival of a new golden age of attack by signing Alexander Isak, one that would potentially revolutionize the Premier League landscape over the coming years.
