The federal government has also initiated a significant installment program on e-bikes and rickshaws with subsidies of up to Rs. 400,000 to make green transport more affordable.
This will be a relief to the citizens who are already struggling with high fuel prices, and it will encourage people to use environmentally friendly means of commuting to their workplaces as well as helping local industries.
Within the framework of the first phase, 40,000 electric motorcycles and 1,000 cargo e-rickshaws will be distributed throughout the country. Every single electric motorcycle is subsidized by Rs. 80,000, and cargo e-rickshaws could get Rs. 400,000. Additionally, buyers can access loans up to Rs. 200,000 for motorcycles, repayable over two years.
The scheme is inclusive, as it set aside special quotas to women, students and workers. Online applications can be made at www.pave.gov.pk, with registration closing on 30 September 2025. Successful applicants will be chosen in a computerized balloting on 1 October 2025.

The officials emphasize that the program would help to save Rs. 290 billion in fuel imports, promote clean energy transportation, and increase local green technology start-ups. The citizens are motivated to use this chance to replace bikes and rickshaws with e-bikes and rickshaws to improve their budgets and the environment.
