Xiaomi 16 series is set to arrive sooner than last year’s release, according to recent leaks. Unlike the Xiaomi 15 series, which launched in October, the new models are expected to make their debut in the second-to-last week of September, likely between September 24 and 26.

The early launch aligns closely with Qualcomm’s introduction of its next flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite 2 chipset on September 23. All Xiaomi 16 models will use this powerful processor, promising faster performance and improved efficiency.

Leaks suggest that three devices will launch initially: the Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro mini, and 16 Pro Max. A separate 16 Ultra model is expected later next year. Screen sizes will vary, with the standard 16 and Pro mini featuring 6.3-inch displays, while the Pro Max will have a larger 6.8-inch screen.

Battery capacity is also getting a boost. The base Xiaomi 16 is rumored to come with a 6,800 mAh battery, while the Pro mini will have a 6,300 mAh cell. Faster 100W charging is expected across the series, making quick top-ups easier for users.

Overall, the Xiaomi 16 series promises bigger batteries, improved performance, and faster charging, making it one of the most anticipated smartphone launches this year.
