Sialkot International Airport flight operations will resume today at 6 pm, airport officials confirmed, after a temporary halt caused by recent flooding.
Airport spokesperson Muhammad Umair Khan said flights were paused because floodwater had entered parts of the airport. He added that the water is being drained but the runway, taxiway, apron, terminal building and main compound are fully safe for operations.
All airport equipment is secure, the spokesperson assured. He also thanked the Pakistan Army and district administration for their assistance during the disruption.
