Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan in the fourth match of the ongoing T20I tri-nation series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Skipper Rashid Khan opted to set a target, as his side looked to stay alive in the tournament after earlier setbacks. Pakistan, led by captain Babar Azam, entered the contest with confidence following two consecutive victories over Afghanistan and the UAE.

In the opening match, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 39 runs before sealing another comprehensive win against the hosts. The result left Pakistan at the top of the points table, with Afghanistan needing a turnaround to stay in contention for a place in the final.
The tri-nation series, hosted in the UAE, features Pakistan, Afghanistan and the UAE in a round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final.
