The federal government on Tuesday declared September 6 a public holiday in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
According to a notification from the Cabinet Division, the holiday has been officially approved.
Earlier, the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee had announced that the Rabiul Awwal moon was not sighted last week, confirming that Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be observed on Saturday.
