National University of Technology has introduced new MS and PhD programmes, which strengthens its position as an applied education leader. One of the gems is the European Union-sponsored MS in Climate Change and Environmental Informatics (CCEI), which aims to solve global environmental problems using innovative data-driven answers.

The university announced that new MS programmes in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are now accepting enrolments. PhD programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science have also been launched by the National University of Technology to supplement its academic portfolio.

Senior EU officials attended the launch ceremony, along with German, Irish, Romania and Bulgarian ambassadors, all of whom have been impressed by the efforts made by the institution to collaborate with international organizations to enhance global co-operation. The representatives were also informed about the Erasmus Active Project and progressive academic structure of the university.

In his address, EU chargé d’affaires Philipp Oliver Gross acclaimed the MS in Climate Change and Environmental Informatics as providing graduates the knowledge and skills they need to address climate challenges with innovation and confidence. The initiative has also been praised by other ambassadors who pointed out that the number of students attending the university was high and the university had good relations with industries.

Through these new programmes, the National University of Technology is establishing standards in the higher education sector by integrating internationalisation, research quality and industry-relevancy -equipping graduates with the challenges and demands of the future that have never been as significant as they are today.
