On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to establish a simple, durable, and modern infrastructure in the under-construction healthcare facilities of Islamabad, including the Jinnah Medical Complex, so that patients could have the opportunity to receive world-class treatment based on the Chinese medical model.

The premier stressed that he must recreate the Chinese model of healthcare during his official visit to Anzhen Hospital in Beijing. He emphasized that future hospitals should be fitted with the latest technology, intelligent management controls and green buildings to ensure medical superiority in the long-term.

During the visit to Anzhen Hospital, PM Shehbaz paid special attention to the effective patient services, medical systems delivered by robots, and advanced equipment of the hospital. He lauded the very successful model, which he called a model of healthcare reimagining in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister was also properly briefed on recent advances in hospital management, such as digital health systems, high-tech treatment centers that enhance the care provided to patients, as well as their efficiency.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the Federal Ministers Mohsin Naqvi, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb and Attaullah Tarar, accompanied him and expressed the need to modernize the healthcare system in Pakistan in line with international standards.

Under this program, PM Shehbaz wants to make the new medical complexes in Pakistan one of the best in the region and provide affordable, reliable, and advanced medical services to the citizens.
