Sindh has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Google to launch a Digital Journalism Program and expand IT training under the Peoples IT Program (PITP), officials confirmed on Wednesday.

At a ceremony in Karachi, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said the PITP has already trained thousands of students in global IT skills, with more than 4,300 graduates now engaged in jobs and businesses. He added that women’s participation and rural representation have been central to the program’s success.

The Chief Minister announced that Rs1.4 billion has been set aside for PITP-II, aiming to provide advanced training in 12 modern technologies to 35,000 students. Training will be offered through institutions such as NED University, Mehran University, and Sukkur IBA. Students from matric to graduation level can apply.
