Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Noorulain Qureshi, has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in the district on Thursday, September 4, 2025, due to heavy rainfall and urban flooding.
According to the district administration, the decision was taken to ensure the safety of students and staff amid severe weather conditions. Several low-lying areas in Gujrat have been inundated, disrupting daily life.
