Punjab Safe App has been made completely free to use across the province as heavy floods continue to disrupt normal life. The Punjab government confirmed that the app will now work without mobile balance or an internet package, ensuring citizens can seek urgent help in emergencies.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has directed all mobile networks to provide zero-rating for the Punjab Safe App, making it accessible in affected areas. Through the app, people will be able to reach rescue teams and other government departments instantly.
Officials explained that citizens can also dial 15 directly from the app to get quick assistance. In cases of natural disasters, including floods, the Punjab Safe App will guide people and connect them to relevant services.

The provincial government had earlier instructed mobile operators to activate zero-rating by the next day, aiming to ensure that relief reaches affected communities without delay. With this step, people in crisis zones can connect with rescue services without bearing any additional costs.
