Pakistan is observing Eid Milad un Nabi today, Saturday, the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal 1447 AH, honoring the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The day is marked with devotion, prayers and acts of charity as the nation recalls the teachings and life of the Prophet (PBUH).

In the federal capital, the celebrations began with a 31-gun salute while provincial capitals observed a 21-gun salute. Citizens and religious organisations are holding processions, seminars and Mahafil-e-Milad to highlight the life and teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), emphasizing peace, compassion and justice.

Eid Milad un Nabi is a time for Muslims to renew their commitment to following the example of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Across the country, people are celebrating by holding special prayers, religious gatherings and distributing food and sweets in markets, homes and orphanages. Streets and houses are adorned with colorful lights, which will remain lit throughout the month.
