Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced on Friday that NADRA counters will be set up across all Karachi union councils to make registration services more accessible for the public.
Speaking at the opening of the newly renovated NADRA registration center at Landhi’s Babar Market, he said a feasibility plan would soon be prepared for establishing another NADRA facility at Lyari’s Kakri Ground.
Wahab further shared that new mega centres are also being developed in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, and Surjani Town to handle the growing demand.

The Landhi centre, inaugurated by Wahab along with NADRA Sindh Director General Amir Ali Khan, has been upgraded with modern facilities. The number of one-window counters has gone up from four to seven, the seating space has been increased to 120 and separate washrooms for men and women have been built. It also offers wheelchair access for disabled visitors and clean drinking water for applicants.
DG NADRA Sindh Amir said five centres in Karachi have already been renovated as part of a wider plan to upgrade 21 centres across the city.
