Islamabad, Oct 11: Acting President Urges Strengthening Cooperation with UAE for Mutual Growth. On Friday, Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized the significance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in important areas including information technology, renewable energy, agriculture, and tourism. He said Pakistan greatly valued its long-standing relationship with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During a meeting with UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi in Aiwan-e-Sadr, the acting president shared these opinions. Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed her sympathies for the loss of His Highness’s close family members, late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohamed Al Nahyan and late Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan, and praised the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s ambition for the economic reform of the United Arab Emirates.
The envoy said at the meeting that Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates‘ bilateral relations have been improving over time. UAE has urged its businesses to make investments in Pakistan, especially in the fields of renewable energy, communications, and climate change. He added that in order to promote travel and boost bilateral economic ties, the UAE would like to see more flights.
The ambassador was informed by the acting president about the All Parties Conference (APC), which took place on October 7, 2024, with the aim of providing unwavering and continuous assistance to our Palestinian counterparts. It was determined to streamline and simplify the visa application process in order to support economic development and people-to-people connections between Pakistan and other countries at the meeting.
