Islamabad, 4 June 2025: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Project for the Utilization of Hady and Adahi (Adahi) has announced the completion of its operational preparations for the Hajj season of 1446H.

The project delivers a comprehensive system that combines Sharia compliance, operational efficiency, and technological innovation reflecting the Kingdom’s continued commitment to facilitating the performance of rituals for the pilgrims and promoting mercy and humanitarian solidarity across the globe.

The project has finalized preparations at seven dedicated Adahi centres, covering a total area exceeding one million square meters, offering an operational capacity of over one million heads of livestock within just 84 hours.

These facilities are staffed by approximately 25,000 specialized personnel invited from several countries, including 600 Sharia specialists, over 500 veterinarians, 16,500 butchers and assistant butchers, and 400 technicians skilled in refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical operations, and machinery operating.

The Adahi Project affirmed that the operational systems for the current Hajj season sees the integration of advanced technologies that enhance the overall efficiency and transparency of operations.

The most prominent of these systems include an AI-powered Adahi counting system, automated weight verification system to verify compliance with Sharia standards, and a newly introduced meat tracking system to ensure precise and transparent delivery of Adahi meat to rightful recipients, in addition to the “Plus Freezing Monitoring” system, which allows real-time monitoring of refrigerators’ performance and capacity, ensuring quality and safety throughout the storage and distribution process, along with enhanced sterilization techniques and standardized protocols and procedures across all slaughtering facilities, reinforcing the project’s commitment to the highest standards of food safety.

The Udhiya processing operations proceed at a remarkable pace averaging one Udhiya every seven seconds—ensuring timely delivery amid high seasonal demand.

To date, more than 770,000 heads of livestock have been received, surpassing the target of 750,000, with ongoing transfers from supplier farms to the project’s holding areas.

The Adahi Project stated that the distribution process during the Hajj season is focused on Mekkah region to meet the needs of official campaigns and missions, charitable organizations, and the pilgrims themselves, while the scope of post-season distribution process expands across all regions of the Kingdom, with special emphasis on the Haram area.

Domestically, the project collaborates with more than 500 charitable and civil society organizations, while internationally, meat is distributed to over 27 countries amplifying the project’s positive impact in supporting global food security and strengthening the values of human solidarity.

This Hajj season is also marked by the expansion of strategic operational partnerships with key governmental, regulatory, and executive entities, enhancing and streamlining coordination and transaction with them.

These entities include the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah through the “Nusuk” platform, pilgrim service companies, Saudia Airlines for logistics support and facilitating flights, Sarab Holding for hospitality and hotel services, OneCard for digital payments, and the “Jahez” application for delivery services.

In line with the Kingdom’s digital transformation strategy, Adahi provides pilgrims with the ability to purchase Udhiya bonds online through its trilingual website, enabling secure and user-friendly transactions for pilgrims from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

One of the project’s core objectives this season is to broaden the distribution network to reach greater segments of beneficiaries and individuals in need both within the Kingdom and abroad through a precise and controlled system based on modern technologies and decades of operational experience.
