Islamabad, Feb 21: Adaptive electric recently announced its aggressive plans to deploy 5000 EV charging stations across Pakistan. It intends to cover installations in a diversity of sectors in its ambition to transition Pakistan towards E-Mobility which will not only be cost effective but more environmentally friendly as well.

Having secured back-to-back contracts with multiple off-takers of the technology and to show its commitment towards delivering in line with its roadmap and strategy an agreement was signed between Puma Energy and Adaptive Electric. It was announced that 624 Fuel Stations of Puma Energy across Pakistan will be accomodated with fast EV charging capability by Adaptive Electric. Both entities come together as they have a mandate towards reduction in the carbon footprint through the E-Mobility platform.

The signing ceremony marks a historic moment for both Puma Energy and Adaptive Electric to revolutionize the E-Mobility infrastructure in Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion CEO of Adaptive Electric, Shaaf Mehboob stated that highways, urban and semi urban landscapes of Pakistan would soon have the capability to charge electric vehicles seamlessly in line with the vision of the Governnment of Pakistan.

The Government is playing a pivotal role in facilitating stakeholders in this transformation and he lauded the Prime Minster and his forward-thinking team in various departments including NEECA for providing an attractive regulated tariff to EV charging operators. Engineer Hijab Khan stated that the Initial screening and technical feasibility of the sites has been completed and a roll out is expected later this year with 62 of the 624 being the first to be rolled out.

Earlier this month Adaptive partnered with Schneider for the chargers. It is intended to use the Schneider solution in the roll out as it provides cutting edge technology and superb back end support. Mr Fayaz, CEO of Puma energy went onto say that each vehicle charge will reduce the carbon footprint between 17-30 % compared to an Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle. He added that Puma has sites strategically located across Pakistan in all geographies and some areas previously uninhabited by Electric vehicles will now see an uptake in such vehicles trafficking due to the provision of this infrastructure.
